Do you remember a company called Cuzzy Advanced Convergence Laboratories Sdn Bhd, which came up with personal computers for women?

The company, known for its innovative products, has introduced a yet another range of funky notebooks for discerning computer users.

One of them is the Jalur Gemilang notebook computer, which the company claimed as the first of its kind in the world.

The notebook is unique because the casing comes with the Jalur Gemilang design and pictures of our Prime Ministers, with the words Malaysia Jaya Ke-arah Visi 2020.

"The Jalur Gemilang notebook is built in rememberance of our honoured Prime Ministers and to commemorate Malaysia's 46th independence day", said its chief executive officer Jeffrey Raj.

Besides the Jalur Gemilang notebook, the company also launched five notebook models which come with abstract designs on their respective casings.

The configurations for all six models include Intel Pentium 4 processor running at two-gigahertz speed, 40-gigabyte hard disk drive, a CD-rewritable (CD-RW) drive and 128-megabyte memory which is expandable to 256MB.

The configurations however, are subject to changes every quarter, Jeffrey said, adding that the notebooks can be configured according to users' needs.

All models are not powered by Intel Centrino mobile technology because they are designed for middle-class consumers who usually have a budget between RM3,000 and RM4,000 for a notebook.

Jeffrey said that the new models would enable the company to reach customers in a more personal note, thus providing them with a sense of belonging and owership.

Corporate users can also personalise their company logos, he said, adding that the process will take about two weeks, and the first-time charge fee is around US$600 (RM2,280).

The six new notebooks are priced from RM3,500 to RM4,500.
