24 January-- Cyberview Sdn Bhd, the landowner of Cyberjaya, is organizing its inaugural fishing competition on Sunday, 28 January 2007 from 8.00am to 1.00pm at Taman Tasik Cyberjaya, in conjunction with the launch of its newly completed clubhouse - Kelab Komuniti Taman Tasik Cyberjaya. Anglers stand a chance to win lots of attractive prizes including the grand prize of RM10,000. The entrance fee is FREE and registration is open only prior to the competition. However,RM5 will be collected from each participant for the garbage collection to ensure cleanliness is maintained at the site. All the enthusiastic anglers and those looking to participate in the sport for the first time are encouraged to contact 013-383 8655, 012-237 2742, 019-614 8961 or 013-629 4702. The prize presentation ceremony for the competition will be held at the Kelab Komuniti Taman Tasik Cyberjaya.

To enhance the competition, approximately 1 tonne of ikan Keli and ikan Pacu were released into Cyberjaya Lake Gardens by Tan Sri Izzuddin Dali, Chairman of Cyberview Sdn Bhd. and Tan Sri Halim Ali, Chairman of Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC). The competition is part of the many community-centric activities for all ages lined up for the official launch of the Kelab Komuniti Taman Tasik Cyberjaya; starting from 27 January 2007 to 28 January 2007. Commenting on the Cyberjaya activities for the community, Tan Sri Izzuddin Dali, Chairman of Cyberview Sdn Bhd said, "We are taking this opportunity to organize as many activities in this 2-day event for the Cyberjaya community. This is in line with our goal in not only creating a livelier and healthy lifestyle for the community but also to make Cyberjaya a more active township. Hence, we hope that the community will give us strong support in participating in these activities as these activities are specially held for them."

The 2-day event will feature fun activities such as exhibitions by the Cyberjaya community comprising of developers, institute of higher learning institutions, companies operating in Cyberjaya; futsal tournament, cooking competition and colouring contest for children. The community will also be entertained by an international group, Madison Live and our local artiste, Zainal Abidin. Born in Johor Bahru an accomplished musical phenomenon bearing legend status in Malaysia with his unique an trademarked sound and music genre; Afro - Asian, Zainal Abidin bin Mohamed is singer, song writer, composer and musician. The Opening act prior to Zainal's main act will be performed by Madison Live from the UK. Inspirational to many different kinds of people, of different ages and musical tastes. Madison Live have worked with many artists both in the studio and live, such as Luie Sylvas, Rod Stewart, Joss Stone, Fame Academy, Anja Garbarek, Pete Brown(Cream), Robbie McIntosh(Norah Jones, McCartney), and Maria Lawson(X-Factor), spanning a wide variety of genres and with many labels including Virgin, BMG and others as session vocalists, musicians and writers. Their gigs ranges from the Royal Albert Hall, the Purcell Room, Jazz Cafe, the Hall of Fame in Cleveland US and the Point Dublin.
